Youngkin: trying to find a way to hide Virginia’s COVID numbers

One thing that’s kind of beautiful about social media is it has put us all in close contact with our leaders–now I did not vote for the soon-to-be-billionaire businessman because those guys make sure things are great for business, but could really care less about the people you need to run these businesses. For them it’s all about protecting money and ensuring money is great–now with that being literally EVERY American’s universal value, of course everyone is worried, but these are republicans, again, the same guys who want you dead so they never have to ask the rich for a cent more. Now, I have commented directly to this governor–cracking about the fact that VA is 12th in terms of total population and 16th in infections–right now it still appears that is showing, but–the numbers have NOT been updated since he came in office which leads me to believe he is going along with the standard COVID republican handbook–hide the numbers, downplay the infection, and then scream at everyone else who doesn’t want to die of a preventable illness.

Basically, he is your standard republican, not knowing how to LEAD at all, just being a FOLLOWER acquiescing to the screamers instead of guiding people against their own worst inclinations. The irony, of course, is you following your own worst inclination and getting yourself infected is a huge massive cash cow to Youngkin and his sort. But a true leader of the people would be looking out for the people and not just his donors, but like every republican, he’s a stooge of the rich, in fact he is one of the rich people who have bought favor. He could care less about the millions he is leading to need un-breaking healthcare putting them in a petri dish to get sick. And clearly like every republican, doesn’t seem to think the fact that left-leaning states with a greater population are not getting sick with the same frequency as the right ones. This comes courtesy of this site, the only site I have referred to for case counts throughout this entire ordeal. We are 12th in population 16th in infection and you would realize that if masking and vaccine mandates did not work we would be 12th in population AND infection. It’s not like we don’t have the numbers and laws and lessons to correlate now to better outcomes, and HAVING that information and doing the opposite is what we can MALFEASANCE.

Now I have no really great opinions on the people of VA, but I do know Virginia kisses the south enough for there to be a population of angry people. Take this woman, who has decided it is her RIGHT to get her kids infected with an illness that will likely be a burden on our future economy and ruin her kids’ lives, but by golly, she will come and kill everyone who wants her kid to wear a mask at school to avoid being an unintentional serial killer. The short-sightedness that people operate with in this world, relying on outrage and anger over reasonable behavior, it just makes me wonder what kind of cushy easy lives people have lived. I’m 45 and I have never expected the world to fall and bow to my whims–I’ve struggled, I’ve been close to homeless and I have dealt pretty well living in a country that does absolutely nothing for the truly ill but apparently dismiss us like we are fleas and try to sell us on health insurance that really does nothing more than qualify you as being worthy of care, preventative and otherwise. One thing I already know is the regret will be heavy on parents who decided their own social and political identity lay in their ability to say F you to the man who wanted their kids to wear masks so they didn’t end up killing any vulnerable people not nicely framed in a hospital bed for you to care about and for. I really feel for a lot of these kids whose parents political views are the sole reason for their infection–what a hard lesson to have rained down on your head about being spiteful–but the truly spiteful would feel spite for you even refocusing that anger and blame on themselves, because it is never their fault, but someone else’s.

Whatever is happening with our numbers, it certainly would not be in his personal interests to have the numbers updated accurately and too often because then it would prove people like me and millions of other parents right about wanting to keep mask and vax mandates on the books. These guys could give a fuck about your or anything they have a part in–as long as they’re good (his kids of course go to a private school reliant on masks.) Of course you might take that as coincidence, but to me its an admission he doesn’t care about the freedom factor since if he was all in to show us, he would be sending his kids sans masks in to show he really was willing to stick with the people.

But he’s not about to ruin his kids’ lives for his political ambitions–he’s just cool ruining all of ours.
