There’s a lot to say: later you’ll have all the words

I’ve been working on a letter to the NYTIMES or one of these smaller publishers–a few versions I can do to kind of cater to the limits, but I’m not super proud of us as Americans, having largely failed not only ourselves, but each other. Considering each person out there who has had COVID likely passed it onto at least a few people–there’s lots of people out there who’ve become unwitting murderers in our communities and families. I’d never infer there was direct intent that people used in going about their daily lives, but there is some negligence people employed towards the health of their community not doing that basic stuff–wearing that mask for that sick kid in the ER. At this point I’m more apt to have my chest scar out there exposed than I ever would normally simply because it’s a matter of choice right now for people to wear masks. Clearly the scar is all the excuse I need to be left alone out there in the world and sometimes I do feel compelled to thank people who are wearing them because there has been no point that we have been advised this virus is at the transmission levels we originally agreed to before we relented on some of our preventative measures. We’ve, like I’ve said, dropped out the marathon during the last lap because we hate the uniform we have to wear.

The articles still coming out don’t portend a wonderful future for this country health-wise–I’ve got a selection here since the last time I posted. I’ve been quiet–I’ve got my own health issues I am dealing with–a surgery I’ve scheduled for the end of May for my heart–I’ve got great health insurance right now so I shouldn’t go bankrupt with this one–but I will be needing a little help–that’s on another site, though so no need to waste much space on non-Corona related endeavors here. Below, let’s list the articles at least through the end of March:

Now, I am just out here collecting information of course–again I will re-point out that SARS original version was a super nasty virus that caused some pretty terrible health problems for those who survived–a newer version we would not, or at least I did not assume would be a weaker and tamer version of the virus, which is exactly why I was so strict in my own home about prevention. Double masks in high traffic tight spaces, my husband always wears at least one 6-layer and my double mask always includes that–keep away from people, and cover your eyes. We haven’t gone out into any tight spaces–and no, clearly I don’t expect this to be a forever thing-I hope I get to survive this next surgery so I can get out there with the world again later. More on some other things I found later on.
